THE wedding of the year is nearly upon us and everyone's desperate to know the finer details.

Here's who will be playing at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's wedding, from the confirmed choirs to the rumoured reception performers...

Who will be playing in St George's Chapel?

The husband and wife-to-be announced the official line-up for their wedding ceremony, in a series of tweets made from the Kensington Palace account on April 24.

The music will be under the direction of James Vivian, the Director of Music at St George's Chapel, where they're tying the knot on May 19.

He will conduct the chapel choir - the 23 St George's School pupils who'll be performing for the royals.

And they're not the only youngsters making an appearance - 19-year-old cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason, of Britain's Got Talent fame, will also be playing.

He performed on BGT with his siblings in 2015, and won the BBC Young Musician Of The Year in 2016.

Sheku got a personal invite from Prince Harry's bride-to-be, and said he was 'bowled over' to receive the call.

'Of course I immediately said yes,' he added. 'I can't wait.'

Gospel stars The Kingdom Choir will also perform, led by conductor Karen Gibson.

As if two choirs wasn't enough, Meghan and Harry also have an orchestra playing - led by conductor Christopher Warren-Green.

Welsh soprano singer Elin Manahan Thomas will accompany the orchestra - as well as trumpeter David Blackadder.

Musica Fiata The Royal Wedding Band

Luke Bond's on the organ, and the State Trumpeters, from the Band of the Household Cavalry, will provide 'ceremonial support'.

Who's performing at the wedding reception?

Meghan and Harry have remained tight-lipped about their wedding reception - but that hasn't stopped people speculating about the line-up.

They won't have to deal with the normal dodgy wedding DJ, that's for sure, after Ellie Goulding performed at Kate Middleton and Prince William's nuptial.

Rumours the Spice Girls are set to perform were sparked when Mel B let slip that the group had been invited to the wedding.

David Beckham is good mates with Princes Harry and Wills, and both he and wife Victoria were invited to the latter's big day, but the more random invitation of Scary Spice and the gang could suggest they will perform.

Could Elton John sing?

Superstar Elton John will sing at the royal wedding, according to reports.

Website TMZ claims the 71-year-old will be performing on the big day, although it is unclear whether he will sing at the ceremony or the reception.

Wedding

Elton had been scheduled to perform two shows over the weekend in Las Vegas, but he subtly cancelled them, meaning he is free for Prince Harry's big day.

It could be a bittersweet moment for Prince Harry, as Elton John famously sang Candle in the Wind at the funeral of his mother, Princess Diana.

Ed Sheeran was also being cited as a likely candidate, but he's touring in Ireland on the big day - and then there's the small matter of not getting an invite.

Stormzy and Sam Smith have both thrown their hats into the ring, while Harry's already proven Coldplay are only a phone call away - after booking the band for his Sentebale charity event.
